We are excited about the progress that our Team Leaders are making.  We started this journey on October 23rd, 2012 and have been working for nine months.  We are happy to report the following:

• Of the 26 individuals who started with us, we still have 23 in the program (88% retention rate).
• Of the 23 individuals in the program, 18 started below the Federal Poverty Guideline (FPG).  We are thrilled to report that 6 of them have moved above the FPG in 9 months!
• Their total combined earned income has moved from $17,281/month to $33,760/month, a 95% increase. 
• Their total combined government benefits have moved from $7546/month ($328 per individual) to $3553/month ($154 per individual), a 53% decrease.
• We started with 6 of our Team Leaders employed* and now we have 14 employed*, a 133% improvement. 
• 8 of our Team Leaders are enrolled in continuing education.

While we are thrilled at the progress that is being made, we are not resting until every one of our families is out of poverty and has achieved their dream. Every Team Leader has the opportunity to continue the journey with Upstream Impact to not just get out of poverty, but to also become a homeowner.
